Nellie's New Dress

This dress turned out great as well, its a little shorter then I would have liked, but other wise I like how it turned out. If I make one like again though I would make the sleeves a little bigger, so that they droop over the sleeve band more. I spent hours on the collar because I scorched it 3 times! I scorched it then I got the brown stain out iron it again and it scorches...once I scorched it just continued to scorch. So, I had to cut out a new one.
Tip to myself, once you scorch muslin save yourself some time and cut out a new one.

If you click on the pictures you'll get a nice close up;)

Medieval Dress/ I Finally Finished It!

Remember, those couple of posts I did about making a medieval dress? Well, I had it mostly finished but I never finished the embroidery around the sleeves and top. I put the project on hold for a while and I finally finished it as of yesterday!  I love the color and how it turned out! The neck is a little too open, next one I make I'll have to shrink it some more. Unless, I do the closure in the back I'll have to make the waist a little bigger, because I can't get it passed the shoulders on my manikin!

This is the only the second time I have ever shot a bow, and well I didn't relize my elbow was sticking up like that till I saw the picture. I'm sure there are other things that I am doing wrong but O'well.

Laura~Little House On The Prairie

I made this pioneer outfit a couple of weeks ago and I finally got around to getting pictures of it, last sunday. It was so nice out that we all were actually hot and now we're back to being cold, but hey at least we had 1 well 2, really nice days to remind us that summer is coming :)

After some photo editing

And we had a beautiful sun set to complete our photo shooting for the day.

Addy's & Kirstens New Dress's

Addy's dress seemed so plain, so I added seven white bows, that are made out of ribbon. I used three snaps in the back. I love the color of this dress though its hard to capture its correct shade of color.

Kirstens dress came out well. I couldn't make up my mind about what to do with her dress, but as I started working on it adding lace, flower stitches, collar ect....everything just came together. The only thing I would like to change is the yellow buttons I think blue ones would look better, but all the blue ones I had weren't the right shade.

Jane Austen Movie Dresses

You, know that long list of "Future Sewing Projects" post I did a couple of months ago? Well, I finished  three of the regency dresses on it a while ago and here they are.................. I need to start on another one :)

I wanted to make this dress out of some thing that looked close to the orginal, but I couldn't find any fabric that would even come close! This fabric was suppose to be really light, but when I got it, it looked as you see now, which is why I hate buy fabric online!

I made this dress out of white striped Lawn

I've been trying to decide, should I create a page with my sewing projects and post them on the new page as I finish them or should I just do a new post about each one? If I do the new page they will all be in one place so if you want to go back and look at them, it would be alot easier then searching for them. What do you think?
